Fall 2014 Course Add/Drop & Other Semester Guidelines

1. Course Add/Drop Period: Tue. Aug. 19 10:00 am ? Mon. Sep. 1

l Full time students can add/drop courses after they have paid the tuition (-Aug. 31) or after the installment application (-Aug. 30, 3pm).
* Expat students should finish course add/drop first and pay during Sep. 4-14.

l Add/Drop for Fall 2014 modular courses which have already started are not available.

l All students must finish course add/drop within the given period.

2. Confirmation & Notification of Closing Classes: Fri. Aug. 29

- Will be decided based on the number of students as of Fri. Aug. 29 morning. Registered students will be notified individually.

Classes with less than 5 students (3 for ThM, 4 for a PhD 3-credit class) will be closed. Potentially closing courses may especially be: English MDiv evening classes / Sat. classes, ThM/MDiv electives

*There may be exceptions for required courses

Changing Tracks

Changes are available at the New Online Service during the pre-course reg. period or course add/drop period.

** If you change your track after the 3rd semester you may delay your graduation.

Changing tracks are available once during the pre-registration period if you have rtaken Practicum I and have not yet taken Practicum II (normally near the end of the 2nd semester) at the Academic Office.

* Students returning from stop-out may change tracks during the course add/drop period at the Academic Office.

* Selecting tracks at the New Online Service: [Records] > [Selecting Track] > Desired Track

4. Class Substitution & PhD Individual Guided Research (GR) Application Period: Tue. Aug. 19 ? Thu. Aug. 28

If you need to apply for class substitution due to curriculum change or other reasons or if you need to apply for individual Guided Researches (for PhD Participants), fill out the application form at the Academic Office and get the approval from the Department Chair or the Program Director.

5. Other Important Information

l MDiv Students - Spiritual Formation Class

Spiritual Formation classes are required throughout the years of study.

Make sure you do not miss any each semester. (For track B & E, total 4 times; 1st - 4th semester).

? Spring: PT5070 (1st sem.), PT6070 (3rd sem.), PT7070 (5th sem. For track A&C)

? Fall: PT5080 (2nd sem.), PT6080 (4th sem.), PT7090 (6th sem. For track A&C)

l MA/MTS/MEd/ThM Students - Field Education (F/E)

These students are required to fulfill a certain number of field education experiences during their studies. Make sure you register for the Field Education I-III (GI1010-1030) during the course add/drop period if you are planning to fulfill the field education (F/E) in Fall 2014. You will be able to pass this requirement when submitting the F/E report at the end of the semester.

*EXPAT students are also required to fulfill Field Education requirements.
