MA

Overview
The Master of Arts (MA) in Christian Counseling is a 2-year professional program that focuses on counseling ministries. The program is designed to prepare graduates for professional ministry as counselors either locally or in mission settings.
 
Language & Course Schedule

English Program : Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
- Track A : Counseling Ministry Track
- Track B : Professional Counseling Track

Korean Program : Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm (Theology classes for the Korean program are offered in the evening)

 
Graduation Requirement

Satisfactorily pass 47 credit hours of coursework and obtain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Satisfactorily pass the comprehensive exam (normally taken during the 2nd year)
Complete 4 semesters of Chapel requirement
Complete 3 semesters of Field Education
Complete the program within 4 consecutive years

 
Academic Information

Academic Load : Average 10-13 credits per semester
Thesis (4 credits) is optional
Combined courses will be offered in English for both the English and Korean sides for 3 semesters
A practicum fee is charged for practicum courses (Clinical Observation, Practicum, Supervision)
Students must fulfill their 3-semester Field Education (FE) requirement at a local church or Christian organization while they are enrolled at Torch Trinity

Overview
The Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) program is a 2-year program to equip professional Christian educators for various educational ministries in churches, Christian schools, para-church organizations, and/or mission fields. The program’s emphasis lies on students’ Christian worldview formation as well as their acquisition of educational and administrative knowledge and skills as Christian educators. This program is best fit for those who want to study both biblical/theological courses and educational courses. MACE candidates may earn the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) professional teacher/principal certificate by taking additional courses.
 
Language & Course Schedule

English Only - Monday through Thursday, Saturday. Evening classes may be offered.

Satisfactorily pass the comprehensive exam (normally taken during the 2nd year)
Complete 4 semesters of Chapel requirement
Complete 3 semesters of Field Education
