Student Guidelines for Class Attendance (As of Sep. 22, 2014)

1. How Attendance Records will be kept

For Most of the MDiv/MTS/MA/MEd Classes

? First 4 weeks (-Sep. 20): Both Manual & E-Attendance (Manual records will be considered as priority)

? From the 5th week (Sep. 22-): E-Attendance only

Following classes will still be taking manual attendance throughout the whole semester:

? ThM/PhD courses

? Bi-weekly courses

? CC Dept. Practicum courses

? Combined courses (English & Korean together- e.g. PT5730 Piano/organ for Worship Service, or classes with more than 2 codes ? e.g. CC5501 Clinical Observation & CC6620 Supervision I).

2. Time ranges

l On time: from 30 min. before class until class starting time
- for few classes which have other classes right before, attendance check will be available from 10 or 15 min. before class starts

l Late: After the class starting time
** For Thu. 5pm classes (right after Chapel), students will be regarded as late from 10 minutes after class starts

* Attention: Since the E-Attendance device can only recognize by 30 minutes, actual class hours differ from what is shown on the device by 10 to 15 minutes for some classes (e.g. Tue/Thu evening classes & Mon/Thu/Sat afternoon classes). Please check your accurate class schedule at the course schedule on the bulletin board.

3. E-attendance Correction

Students are to make sure via online if their E-attendance records are properly kept every week.

- In case a student has objections from the 5th week of semester (not necessary for 1st-4th week - manual records will be the priority), s/he may fill out the ‘Request for Verification of E-Attendance’ form, ask for the professor's verification signature and submit the form to the Academic Office. Changes will be made online based on the professors’ verification.

- Forms are available at the school website and also at the Academic Office.

** Students can submit the form to the office only within 2 weeks after the date of error

e.g. Date of error: Tue. Sep. 23 a Until Wed. Oct. 8


*In case there are outside class activities, the Academic Office will change the attendance records for the whole class upon the professor's request.
