기독교교육을 통한 인재 양성 및 교류 협력 확대
본교는 1월 17일(수) 새로운교회(담임목사 한 홍)와 기독교 교육을 통한 인재양성 및 상호 교류 협력을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
양 기관은 교육을 통해 복음을 땅 끝까지 전하고자 국내 및 해외의 인재양성을 목적으로, 기독교 교육학 전공자를 우선한 장학금 지급, 본교의 학생추천을 통한 새로운교회의 인턴제도 운영, 교수들과 목회자들과 전문 평신도 강사들 간의 강단 교류, 시설 사용 협력, 선교 아웃리치 등 특별행사나 이벤트 협력과 참여, 횃불트리니티 상담센터를 통하여 새로운교회 성도들에게 개인 및 집단 상담, 특강 및 심리교육 등 치유와 회복을 위한 협력 등 다방면에 걸쳐 상호협력을 확대 추진하기로 하였다.
이번 협약식은 본교의 초청으로 본교 강의동 회의실에서 개최되었다. 협약식에는 새로운교회 측의 한홍 담임목사를 비롯하여 강정현 사모, 조용린 장로, 최지훈 선임행정목사, 이성훈 뉴젠본부장목사, 강현구 목회비서목사, 이준희 국내선교목사가 참석하였고, 횃불트리니티신학대학원대학교 측은 오덕교 총장과 오현주 기독교교육학과장, 안한나 교학처장, 김진혁 학생처장, 이석규 기획발전실장, 박수인 교학과장, 한진혁 원격교육개발팀장이 참석하였다.
오덕교 총장은 "세상속으로 열방속으로 그리고 미래속으로 들어가서 미래의 지도자들을 양육하기 위해 모든 것을 추구하는 교회, 한국 교회가 본받아야 할 교회인 새로운교회와 함께 동역할 수 있다는 것이 얼마나 기쁜지 모르겠다"라며 "한국교회의 가장 큰 문제는 다음 세대가 사라진다는 것이고 양육에 초첨을 두는 새로운교회와 함께 협력하여 일하는 것은 하나님도 기뻐하실 것이다"고 인사하였고, 한 홍 담임목사는 "지난 10년동안 기독교교육학이 너무 줄어들었다는 것은 저출산 시대와 한국교회의 암울한 주일학교의 미래를 보여주고 있다."라며 "새로운교회는 초창기부터 주일학교에 정성을 들인 교회로서 새로운교회의 주일학교 현장과 횃불트리니티가 연결되어 기독교교육학이 꽃을 피웠으면 한다."이라고 화답하였다. 끝.
Nurturing Talent and Expanding Cooperation through Christian Education
On January 17th, Saeroun Church (Rev. Dr. John Hong Hahn) and Torch Trinity Graduate University signed an agreement for mutual exchange and cooperation.
To fulfill the mission of evangelization of the world, the two institutions agreed on expanding mutual cooperation to nurture domestic and global talent by the scholarships prioritized to the student who majors in Christian Education, the internship program based on the recommendation from the school, exchange of lectures among professors, pastors and professional lay instructors, cooperation in the use of facilities and collaboration for the events like mission outreach, cooperation of Torch Trinity Counseling Center to provide opportunities for healing and recovery such as individual and group counseling, special lectures, and psychological education.
The MOU ceremony took place at the Conference Room at the invitation of Torch Trinity Graduate University. It was attended by Rev. Dr. John Hong Hahn as the senior pastor of Saeroun Church, Mrs. Holly Chunghyun Hahn, Mr. Cho as Elder, and four pastors, and by Dr. Deok Kyo Oh as the president of TTGU, Dr. Hyun Joo Oh as the chair of Christian Education Department, Dr. Hannah S. An as the dean of Academic Programs, Dr. JinHyok Kim as the dean of Students, and three staffs.
President Deok Kyo Oh said, " I am very glad that I am able to work with Saeroun Church which seeks all the way to nurture leaders for new generation and is the one that churches in Korea should emulate.", "The biggist problem in Korean churches is that the next genaration is disappearing. And I think God will be happy with our cooperation with Saeroun Church focused on nurturing". Then, Rev. Dr. John Hong Hahn said "the decline in Christian Education over the past decade shows the bleak future of the low birth rate era and the grim Sunday schools of churches in Korea. Saeroun Church has been devoted to Sunday school since the early days, and I hope that Christian Education will blossom in the cooperation between Saeroun Church and TTGU".
