Spring 2017 Course Add/Drop & More Guidelines

1. Course Add/Drop Period:

Wed. Feb. 15, 9:30am - Thurs. Mar. 2 2017, 5:30pm

● All students must finish course add/drop within the given period.

* First day of class for Spring 2017: Wed. Feb. 22, 2017

● Online course add/drop will be available from 3 hours (at most) after you have paid the tuition. For payments made after 5pm, add/drop will be available from following day (except holidays) from 8:30am (Tuition Payment is available until Tue. Feb. 28).

* Expat students and students who are on per-credit payment plan (who exceeded the duration of program) should finish course add/drop first and pay during Tue. Mar. 7 - Mon. Mar. 13.

* If a student wants to take credit hours over the credit maximum, the student must submit a Course Add/Drop Request form to the Academic/Admissions Office within the Course Add/Drop period (Tuition for the extra credit should be paid afterwards during a set period, details for max. credits for each program are available at TTGU website > Academics > Academic Policy > Course Registration).

● Class absences during the add/drop period are NOT excused.

2. Confirmation & Notification of Closing Classes

● For Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat Classes: Tue.Feb.28

● For Tue Classes: Thurs.Mar.2, Until Noon

Classes with less than 5 students (3 for ThM and PhD classroom setting classes) will be closed. There may be exceptions for required courses. Potentially closing courses may especially be: English MDiv evening or Sat. classes (except E-Track CE Classes), ThM/MDiv electives

● Closing classes will be decided based on the number of registered students. If your wish course is among the ‘Potentially closing courses’, please register by Mon.Feb.27.

● In case a class is closed or in case further time is needed for decision, registered students will be notified individually (email or SMS) by the closing class confirmation dates.

3. Course Registration-related Other Important Notes

A. Class Substitution Application

Application Period: Wed. Feb. 15 - Mon. Feb. 27, 2017

To apply for class substitution due to curriculum change or other reasons,

1) Fill out the application form (available at the Academic/Admissions Office & also at the school website’s Quick Menu > Download > Course),
2) Get the approval from the Department Chair,
3) Get the approval of the Dean of Academic Programs and submit to the Academic/Admissions Office.

B. Retake/ Cross Registration Guidelines

- English-program students may take up to 3 credits (up to 5 credits for EMDiv) of Korean-program electives throughout their studies.

- Korean-program students can take English-program courses without any limitation of credits.

C. For Summer Graduating Students:

If you are a graduating student this semester, you should submit the 'Graduation checklist' after you finish registering for your courses for this semester. Please make sure you registered for all the courses necessary for the graduation requirement.

D. Guidelines by Programs

1) EMDiv & EMA (CC)

- Select tracks during the course registration period.

Changing Tracks	Changes are available at the New Online Service during the course registration period or course add/drop period. ** Changing tracks after the 3rd semester (after the 1st semester for those who want to follow track E, Revised) may delay graduation.	Changing tracks are available during the registration period if you have taken Practicum I and have not yet taken Practicum II (normally near the end of the 2nd semester) at the Academic Office. * Students returning from stop-out may change tracks during the course add/drop period at the Academic Office.

2) MDiv/MTS

· MDiv/MTS students may take other programs' (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) courses as electives except for some courses which are blocked.

· Registering for Courses which have Pre-requisites

For courses which have pre-requisites, students can register for the next level course after the grades are out during the course add/drop period for that semester.

However, with the approval of the Dean of Academic Programs, students may take the course while taking the pre-requisite course for that course together, or without taking the pre-requisite course in advance.

- Guidelines: For graduation-related issues, approvals may be given, but i) the prerequisites in red (or with *) will not be given approval for, and ii) the ones in blue (or with **) needs to be taken at least simultaneously with the next level course, if not taken in advance.

In the exceptional case when requesting permission to register for a course without fulfilling the prerequisite course, fill out the ‘Add Request Form for Courses with Prerequisites’ and submit the form to the Academic/Admissions Office.

3) MDiv

· Spiritual Formation Classes

MDiv students are to take Spiritual Formation classes in sequence for total 6 semesters, every semester. Please be careful not to miss any of these 1 or 0 credit courses during the course registration & add/drop period. *For track B & E, required only up to the 4th semester

· For EMDiv Students:
Some courses are additionally offered for Expat program students during Tue/Thurs evening and Sat, but most of these courses are not offered yearly, and they may get cancelled with less enrollment. Thus, full-time students should not depend on these courses as they plan their studies (E-track required education courses are exceptions).

· For EMDiv E-Track Students:

- ED6513 & ED6524 are required for obtaining the ACSI Teacher's certificate, but they are no longer EMDiv E-Track requirements. E-Track Students may graduate without ED6513 & ED6524 as long as they fulfill total 95 credits including other requirements. Students will be given opportunities to take ED6513 & ED6524 after graduation if they wish to pursue the ACSI Teacher's certificate.

4) MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM - Field Education (F/E)

All MA (CE), MEd, MTS, MWCM students and MA (CC), ThM students who follow the 2016 or former curriculum are required to fulfill total 3 times (2 times for MEd) of field education experiences during their studies. Make sure you register for the Field Education I-III (GI1010-1030) if you are planning to fulfill the field education (F/E) in Spring 2017. Students who have registered will be able to pass this requirement by doing the F/E, writing the F/E report, getting the approval from the supervising minister or the head of the organization, and by submitting the F/E report to the Department Chairs (for MTS, to the Dean of Academic Programs) by the Friday of the week before the end of the semester: Fri. Jun. 9.

*EXPAT students are also required to fulfill Field Education requirements.

5) MA Christian Counseling Students: Practicum & Supervision Classes

Students are to register for Practicum and Supervision classes together. Registering for only one of the two will be permitted only in retaking cases.

6) PhD

- Dissertation writers are to register for Dissertation I or II during the course add/drop period in case they want to continue.

- English PhD Individual Guided Research Application:

Participants who wish to apply for individual Guided Researches for courses which are not offered during the semester should fill out the application form [available at the Academic/Admissions Office & also at the school website’s Quick Menu > Download > Course], get the approval from the professor, and submit to the Academic/Admissions Office by Feb. 27(M).

7) For ACSI Teacher's certificate Pursuing Students

MDiv, MA, ThM CE Students who are pursuing ACSI Teacher's certificate should find out and take the required courses for earning the certificate (other than the graduation requirement).

2017학년도 봄학기 수강정정 및 기타 안내

1. 수강정정기간: 2017/2/15(수) 9:30am - 3/2(목) 5:30pm

● 반드시 위 기간 내에 모든 수강정정을 마쳐야 합니다.
*2017학년도 봄학기 개강일: 2017/2/22(수)

● 등록금 납부 후 최대 3시간 이후부터 온라인 수강정정이 가능하며, 5pm 이후에 납부한 경우 익일 (공휴일 제외) 8:30am부터 수강정정이 가능합니다 (등록금 납부기한: 2/28(화)).

* 단, Expat 학생 및 수업연한이 지난 학점당 등록자가 수강신청학점을 변경하는 경우, 온라인 수강정정을 먼저 한 후, 3/7(화)-3/13(월)에 등록금을 납부합니다.

* 초과학점을 신청하고자 하는 경우에는, 수강정정기간 내에 수강정정신청서를 별도로 작성하여 교학처에 제출해야 합니다 (초과학점 등록금은 추후 정해진 기간 내 납부, 학기당 최대이수학점은 홈페이지 학사안내 > 학사정보 > 수강 메뉴 참고).

● 수강정정기간 동안의 결석은 출석으로 인정되지 않습니다.

2. 폐강과목 심의 및 통보

l 월/수/목/금/토요일 수업: 2/28(화)

l 화요일 수업: 3/2(목), 정오까지

최소수강인원 5명 (ThM수업 또는 PhD 강의실수업은 3명) 미만의 과목들은 폐강될 예정입니다. 단, 필수과목은 예외가 있을 수 있습니다. 예상 폐강가능과목: EMDiv 저녁/토요일 수업 (E-Track 교육학과 과목 제외), ThM/MDiv 선택과목

● 수강신청현황을 토대로 폐강과목이 결정될 예정이니, 수강희망과목이 예상 폐강가능과목 중에 있는 경우, 2/27(월)까지 필히 수강신청을 하여주시기 바랍니다.
● 폐강 또는 결정유보 시에는 해당과목의 폐강과목 심의 및 통보일까지 수강신청자들에게 개별 통지 (이메일 또는 SMS) 될 예정입니다.

3. 기타 수강신청 관련 중요 안내

A. 대체과목 신청

신청기간: 2/15(수) - 2/27(월)
커리큘럼 변경 등의 이유로 대체과목을 신청해야 하는 경우,
1) 대체과목신청서 작성 후 (교학처 비치 및 홈페이지 Quick Menu > 서식다운로드 > 수업)
2) 학과장의 승인을 받고,
3) 교학처장의 승인을 받은 후 교학처로 제출하여주십시오.

B. 재수강/교차수강 안내

- 한국어과정 학생이 영어과정 과목을 수강하는 경우: 필수과목/선택과목의 제한 없이 수강신청 가능함

- 영어과정 학생이 한국어과정 과목을 수강하는 경우: 재학기간 중 선택과목 3학점 (MDiv과정은 5학점)까지 수강신청 가능함

C. 여름 졸업예정자 대상 안내

여름 졸업예정자의 경우, 이번 학기 수강신청을 마치신 후에 '졸업 체크 리스트'를 제출하게 됩니다. 졸업요건에 필요한 과목을 모두 신청하셨는지 반드시 확인하여 주시기 바랍니다.

D. 학위과정별 안내

1) EMDiv/EMACC

- 선수과목이 있는 수업의 수강신청

선수과목 있는 수업의 다음 단계의 수업은 선수과목의 성적이 확정된 이후, 해당학기 수강정정기간에 수강신청 할 수 있습니다.

단, 교학처장이 승인할 경우 전공과목과 선수과목을 동시에 수강하거나 선수과목을 이수하지 않고 전공과목을 수강할 수 있습니다.

- 지침: 졸업에 관한 사항인 경우 승인이 될 수 있으나, i) 위의 빨간색 (또는 *표시) 선수과목은 승인이 불가하며, ii) 파란색 (또는 **표시) 선수과목은 최소한 다음단계 과목과 동시에 수강해야 합니다.

선수과목을 이수하지 않고 다음단계 과목의 수강 승인을 받고자 하는 예외적인 경우에는, 선수과목이 있는 과목의 수강신청서’ 양식을 작성하여 교학처에 제출하시기 바랍니다.

3) MDiv 과정

- 영성형성 수업
MDiv 과정 학생은 총 6학기동안 순서를 따라 영성형성 수업들을 매학기 필수로 이수해야 합니다. 1학점 또는 0학점으로 개설되는 영성형성 수업들을 수강신청 시에 놓치지 않도록 주의하여주시기 바랍니다. 단, 영어과정의 트랙 B와 E는 4학기까지만 이수함.

4) MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM 과정의 현장실습

모든 MA (CE), MEd, MTS, MWCM과정의 학생들 및 MA (CC), ThM과정의 2016학년도 교과과정 또는 그 이전의 교과과정을 따르는 학생들은 재학기간 중에 3학기 (MEd는 2학기)의 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다. 2017학년도 봄학기에 현장실습을 이수하려는 경우 반드시 현장실습 I-III (GI1010-1030)을 수강신청하여 주시기 바랍니다. 수강신청을 한 학생들은 학기 중 현장실습을 한 후, 현장실습보고서를 작성하여 담당목회자 또는 단체장의 확인을 받아 종강 전 금요일 [6/9(금)] 까지 해당 학과장에게 제출할 경우, 현장실습을 이수하게 됩니다.

* EXPAT 학생들도 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다.

5) MA 기독교상담학과: 상담실습 및 상담수퍼비전 수업

상담실습 및 상담수퍼비전 수업은 반드시 동시에 수강신청해야합니다. 두 과목 중 한 과목만 신청하는 것은 재수강신청자에 한하여 가능합니다.

6) PhD

- 논문을 진행하고자 하는 논문작성자들은 수강정정기간동안 논문지도 I 또는II 를 신청하시기 바랍니다.

- EPhD Individual Guided Research 신청:

학기 개설과목 외의 과목에 대한 Individual Guided Research 신청 희망 시에는 신청서[교학처 비치 및 홈페이지에서 다운로드 가능: Quick Menu > 서식다운로드 > 수업]를 작성하여 담당교수의 승인을 받은 후, 2/27(월)까지 제출하여주십시오.

7) ACSI 교사자격증 취득 관련 유의사항

ACSI 전문교사자격증 취득을 목표로 하는 MDiv, MA(CE), ThM(CE)과정 학생들은 졸업요건 외에도 자격증 취득에 필요한 필수과목들을 확인하여 이수하시기 바랍니다.
