Spring 2016 Course Registration Guidelines

Registration Period: Fri. Dec. 4, 08:30 - Fri. Dec. 18, 17:00

1. Course schedule, Syllabi & Modular Course

- Course schedule is available at the New Online Service > Notice Board (Excel File) and the school website > Academics > Course Schedule (PDF).

- Course Syllabi are available at the New Online Service > Courses > Search for Offered Courses (Search for 2016, Spring). Those which are not uploaded yet will be available by the end of December.

- First day of class for Spring 2016: Mon. Feb. 22

- The first day of class for the English PhD Program is the first day of the modular class.

- Modular courses are listed on the 2nd page (2nd sheet) of the course schedule. Students can register for modular courses during the course registration period if the schedules are out. For courses which are not available for registration yet will be open to registration during the course add/drop period.

* 2 or 3 credits: You may register some classes as either 2 or 3 credits. Class hours are the same but assignments may differ according to the registered credits. To register as 2 credits, select ‘Applied Credits’, and click ‘2’ as you register online.

2. Guidelines by Programs

1) EMDiv & EMA (CC)

- Select tracks before/during the course registration period (currently available until end of course registration period).

2) MDiv/MTS

MDiv/MTS students may take other programs' (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) courses as electives except for some courses which are blocked.

3) MDiv

Spiritual Formation Classes
Spiritual Formation classes are required throughout the years of study. Please make sure you do not miss any.
Spring: PT5070 (1st sem.), PT6070 (3rd sem.), PT7070 (5th sem. Only for track A, C, D)
Fall: PT5080 (2nd sem.), PT6080 (4th sem.), PT7090 (6th sem. Only for track A, C, D)

Registering for Courses which have Pre-requisites
If you are taking a pre-requisite class this semester, you can register for the next level course after the grades are out during the course add/drop period (Feb. 16, 9:30am ? Mar. 2, 2016, 17:30).

For EMDiv E-Track Students:

- ED6513 & ED6524 are required for obtaining the ACSI Teacher's certificate, but they are no longer EMDiv E-Track requirements. E-Track Students may graduate without ED6513 & ED6524 as long as they fulfill total 95 credits including other requirements. Students will be given opportunities to take ED6513 & ED6524 after graduation if they wish to pursue the ACSI Teacher's certificate.

- ED6040 Teaching-Learning Theory & Practice (Sat 08:30-11:20) can be substituted by CE5461 Teaching & Learning Theory (Mon 13:00-15:50).

4) MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM - Field Education (F/E)

MA/MTS/MEd/ThM students are required to fulfill total 3 times (2 times for MEd) of field education experiences during their studies. Make sure you register for the Field Education I-III (GI1010-1030) if you are planning to fulfill the field education (F/E) in Spring 2016. Students who have registered will be able to pass this requirement when submitting the F/E report at the end of the semester.

*EXPAT students are also required to fulfill Field Education requirements.

5) For ACSI Teacher's certificate Pursuing Students

MDiv, MA, ThM CE Students who are pursuing ACSI Teacher's certificate should take additional courses from the Christian Education Department according to the requirements.

6) MA Christian Counseling Students: Practicum & Supervision Classes

Students are to register for Practicum and Supervision classes together. Registering for only one of the two will be permitted only in retaking cases.

3. Spring 2016 Course Add/Drop Period: Tue. Feb. 16, 9:30am - Wed. Mar. 2, 2016, 17:30

1) Class Substitution (due to curriculum change or other reasons) & PhD Individual Guided Research (GR) Application can be made during this period. Applicants will need to fill out the application form at the Academic Office and get the approval from the Department Chair or the Program Director.

2) MDiv courses for which you have not yet fulfilled the pre-requisites should be added during this period (after the grades are out)

2016학년도 봄학기 수강신청기간: 12/4(금) 08:30 - 12/18(금) 17:00

1. 강의시간표, 강의계획서 및 모줄라수업

- 강의시간표는 New Online Service 의 Notice 란 (엑셀파일) 및 본교 홈페이지 > 학사안내 > 강의시간표 (PDF) 에서 확인이 가능합니다.

- 강의계획서는 New Online Service > 수업업무 > 개설강좌조회메뉴 (2016, Spring 으로 검색) 에서 확인 가능합니다. 아직 업로드되지 않은 강의계획서는 12월 말까지 업로드될 예정입니다.

- 2016학년도 봄학기 개강일: 2016. 02. 22 (월)

- 영어 철학박사과정의 학기개시일은 모줄라 수업 개강일로 합니다.

- 모줄라수업 목록은 강의시간표의 두번째 쪽 (시트)에 있습니다. 강의시간표가 확정된 모줄라수업은 수강신청기간동안 신청할 수 있습니다. 미확정된 과목의 경우, 수강정정기간에 신청하여주십시오.

* 2 또는 3 학점: 수업시간은 동일하되, 2학점 또는 3학점으로 수강신청이 가능하며 신청학점에 따라 과제 등에 차이가 있을 수 있습니다. 2학점으로 수강하기 원하는 경우 수강 신청 시 ‘신청학점’을 ‘2’학점으로 선택하여 주십시오.

2. 과정별 안내사항

1) EMDiv/EMACC

2) MDiv/MTS 과정

MDiv/MTS 학생들은 다른 과정 (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) 개설 수업들을 선택과목으로 수강할 수 있습니다. 단, 일부 타과정수강불가 과목은 제외됨.

3) MDiv 과정

영성형성 수업
영성형성 수업들은 재학기간 중에 그 순서를 따라 필수로 이수해야 합니다. 매학기 이수해야 할 영성형성 수업을 놓치지 않도록 주의하여주시기 바랍니다. (단, 영어과정의 트랙 B와 E는 1학기~4학기, 총 4회 수강)

- 봄학기: PT5070 (1학기), PT6070 (3학기), PT7070 (5학기 - 영어과정의 트랙 A, C, D에 한함)

- 가을학기: PT5080 (2학기), PT6080 (4학기), PT7090 (6학기 - 영어과정의 트랙 A, C, D에 한함)

선수과목이 있는 수업의 수강신청

이번 학기에 선수과목을 수강하고 있는 경우, 다음 단계의 수업은 선수과목의 성적이 확정된 이후 2016학년도 봄학기 수강정정기간(2016.02.16, 09:30 - 2016.03.02, 17:30)에 수강신청 하실 수 있습니다.

영어 MDiv E-Track 유의사항

위 과정의 학생들은 재학기간 중에 3회 (MEd는 2회)의 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다. 2016학년도 봄학기에 현장실습을 이수하려는 경우 반드시 현장실습 I-III (GI1010-1030)을 수강신청하여 주시기 바랍니다. 수강신청을 한 경우에 한하여, 학기 말에 현장실습보고서 제출 시 성적을 받으실 수 있습니다. * EXPAT 학생들도 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다.

5) ACSI 교사자격증 취득 관련 유의사항

ACSI 교사자격증을 취득하고자 하는 MDiv, MA, ThM CE 학생들은 이수요건에 맞게 기독교교육학과 과목을 이수하시기 바랍니다.

6) MA 기독교상담학과: 상담실습 및 상담수퍼비전 수업

상담실습 및 상담수퍼비전 수업은 반드시 동시에 수강신청해야합니다. 두 과목 중 한 과목만 신청하는 것은 재수강신청자에 한하여 가능합니다.

3. 2016학년도 봄학기 수강정정기간: 2016.02.16(화), 09:30 - 2016.03.02(수), 17:30

- 대체과목 신청(커리큘럼 변경 등의 이유) 및 박사과정 Individual Guided Research (GR) 신청은 위 기간 내에 가능합니다. 교학처 비치된 신청서를 작성하여 학과장/프로그램 디렉터, 담당교수 등의 승인을 받은 후 위 기간 내에 제출해주십시오.
- 선수과목 이수가 완료되지 않은 MDiv 과목의 수강신청은 위 기간 내에 가능합니다.
