PhD

Overview (Korean program only, not available in English)

The PhD in Christian Counseling is a 3-year program which aims to integrate various disciplines including Biblically-based theology, psychology, and education in order to produce scholars and professional counselors who are able to create and develop Christian Counseling theories.

Language & Course Schedule
ㆍKorean Only - Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 6:30 pm, 3 days per week

Graduation Requirements
ㆍSatisfactorily pass 66 credits (Pass Clinical Evaluation I, II, III) ㆍObtain a minimum GPA of 3.0 ㆍSatisfactorily pass the comprehensive exam ㆍSubmit an acceptable dissertation proposal, complete a final product and defend the dissertation before an academic panel ㆍFulfill practicum hours ㆍComplete the program within 8 consecutive years

Academic Information
ㆍAcademic load : Average 9-12 credits ㆍPhD participants who do not submit their dissertation within 3 years will pay a dissertation-semester fee from the 4th year onward ㆍParticipants accepted into the PhD in Christian Counseling program without a theology related master’s degree are required to fulfill 24 credits of theology coursework during their first year.
