Wanted - Teachers for 2022 Spring (ASAP)

 

Haven Christian School (www.haven.or.kr) is looking for new teachers (English as your first language) to start on March 1st of 2022. The school is an English-based Christian school using an English curriculum. The school is located in Gwacheon city, which is one of the best places to live in South Korea. The school has been operating for 14 years now and we currently teach approximately 270 students (1-12th grader) along with 35 teachers. Our morning routine also includes QT (quiet-time bible study) and prayer. All of the teachers are dedicated Christians and most of the students are born-again Christians as well.

 

The school needs teachers with a missionary-mindset who can teach English and Bible. The school prefers teachers who have an education degree or teaching certificate. Previous teaching experience is not required but preferred. An undergraduate degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferably with an Education degree from an accredited four-year university is required. The School also prefers teachers who are from North America solely for our students’ pronunciation. The school does not discriminate by race or gender. And for a faster process of Visa matters, teachers who are already stationed in South Korea would be preferable. The school will provide the following:

①     2.3 - 3.0 million won per month

②     8:00 am - 5:00 pm working hours

③     about 20-22 teaching hours a week

④     6 - 8 weeks paid vacation a year (3-4 weeks in summer and 3-4 weeks in winter)

⑤     housing deposit and rent will be provided; utilities will be paid by the individual teacher.

⑥     1/2 payment of the national health insurance and national pension
