ENGLISH MINISTRY PASTOR JOB OPENING
Church Description
Pyeongtaek Onnuri English Ministry (POEM) is the English speaking ministry under Onnuri community church Pyeongtaek campus located in Pyeongtaek, Kyonggi-do. POEM seeks to glorify God by worshiping and following Jesus Christ as true disciples, by serving our neighbors with grace and love of Jesus Christ, and by growing together in faithful relationship with God. We are seeking a full-time English Ministry pastor who will proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, engage in pastoral care ministries in the church and community, and shepherd ministerial and vocational staff to God’s will for POEM.
Ministry Responsibilities
Ø Worship: Preach God’s gospel centered and relevant sermons on a weekly basis.
Ø Leadership: Set the vision, mission, and direction of POEM along with key church leaders. Embrace a team ministry philosophy and foster a collaborative spirit with Pyeongtaek Onnuri church staff, elders, and deacons.
Ø Discipleship: Mentor, train, and deepen spirituality among leaders and members through bible study, prayer meetings, and classes.
Ø Pastoral Care: Visit and counsel POEM members in need of prayer and support.
Ø Outreach / Missions: Provide new and innovative ways to reach neighboring communities. Be open-minded to new ideas and methods for ministry.
Ø Preaching inspiring sermons – Offer impactful interactions starting with the worship service and sermons.
Ø Leadership and Discipleship Training – Mentor members in Bible education and discipleship training, with the ultimate goal of making disciples who make disciples.
Qualifications
Ø Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ø Ordained in an evangelical denomination
Ø Has a willing heart for outreach to neighboring communities
Ø Embraces and is willing to work with the Pyongtaek Onnuri Church
