Requirements for Candidates
1. Be either a citizen of a native English-speaking country or a Korean who possesses native speaker-level proficiency in English
2. Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (preference for degrees from US/UK universities). Advanced degrees are welcome.
3. Skills: Strong lesson planning and classroom management. Proficiency in Google Classroom, Google Suite, Canva, and PowerPoint
4. Hold or be eligible for an F2, F4, F5, or F6 visa, Or Native Fluent Korean (교포)
5. Provide an apostilled diploma and a clean criminal background check

Job Description> Position: Full-Time Class Instructor (ASAP)

Schedule :
5-Day Week: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (up to 28 teaching hours per week, starting at 20 hours).

Additional preparation and grading hours required for both schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Teach subjects such as English Literature, Essay Writing, Reading Comprehension, Speech Writing, Vocabulary Development, and STEAM-based projects for Elementary & Middle school students.
  • Create engaging, student-centered lessons that incorporate novels and project-based activities, in line with Salt Academy's curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and active participation.
  • Ability to effectively manage all students within a relatively small classroom environment, ensuring that each student is properly attended to and managed during class.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student performance to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to maintain a cohesive, values-driven learning experience.
  • Participate in curriculum development and project planning to tailor lessons to meet student needs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Preference for candidates with extensive knowledge of literature and STEAM integration.
Experience: Prior teaching experience, especially with novel-based and project-oriented curricula, is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills. Proficiency in Google Classroom, Google Suite, and other teaching aids is a plus.

Elementary Level:
Novel Study: Introduce diverse genres to expand literary understanding.
Writing: Focus on sentence structure, paragraph writing, and essays.
Project-Based Learning: Use hands-on projects to develop collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Middle School Level:
Debate: Teach debate structure, argumentation, and research to enhance oratory skills.
Writing: Refine writing through structured formats, such as the five-paragraph essay.
SSAT/PSAT Prep: Provide strategies for excelling in standardized testing.

High School Level:
SAT/AP Subjects: Prepare students for advanced coursework and fine-tune test-taking strategies.
Writing: Focus on crafting analytical and evaluative essays.


Salary
Base Salary: 2,600,000 won ~ (based on experience) Incentives: Up to 20% of the base salary for meeting performance goals (e.g., student progress, engagement, etc.).

- Any overtime hours will be compensated, and additional pay will be provided for both summer and winter camps (participation is not mandatory).
