Fall 2015 Course Add/Drop & More Guidelines

1. Course Add/Drop Period: Tue. Aug. 18, 10 am - Tue. Sep. 1

** Absences during the course add/drop period are not excused.

l Full time students can add/drop courses after they have paid the tuition (Tuition Payment until Aug. 31). * Expat students should finish course add/drop first and pay during Sep. 7-11

l Add/Drop for Fall 2015 modular courses which have already started are not available.

l All students must finish course add/drop within the given period.

Fall 2015 Course Schedule is available at the New Online Service announcement board and on www.ttgu.ac.kr > Academics > Course Schedule > Fall 2015. Updates may be made throughout the course add/drop period, and classroom changes may be made even after the add/drop period. 2. Confirmation & Notification of Closing Classes: Fri. Aug. 28, 3 pm

Classes with less than 5 students (3 for ThM and PhD classroom setting classes) will be closed. Potentially closing courses may especially be: English MDiv evening classes / Sat. classes, ThM/MDiv electives *There may be exceptions for required courses

- Closing classes will be decided based on the number of registered students. Registered students will be notified individually in case a class is closed or in case further time is needed for decision.

3. Class Substitution & PhD Individual Guided Research (GR) Application Period: Tue. Aug. 18 - Fri. Aug. 28

If you need to apply for class substitution due to curriculum change or other reasons or if you need to apply for individual Guided Researches (for PhD Participants), fill out the application form at the Academic Office and get the approval from the Department Chair or the Program Director.

4. Other Important Information

l MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM Students - Field Education (F/E)

These students are required to fulfill a certain number of field education experiences during their studies. Make sure you register for the Field Education I-III (GI1010-1030) during the course add/drop period if you are planning to fulfill the field education (F/E) in Spring 2015. You will be able to pass this requirement when submitting the F/E report at the end of the semester.

*EXPAT students are also required to fulfill Field Education requirements.

l MA Christian Counseling Students: Practicum & Supervision Classes

Students are to register for Practicum and Supervision classes together. Registering for only one of the two will be permitted only in retaking cases.

l MDiv Students

1) Spiritual Formation Class

Spiritual Formation classes are required throughout the years of study.

Make sure you do not miss any each semester. (For track B & E, total 4 times; 1^st - 4^th semester).

* Spring: PT5070 (1st sem.), PT6070 (3rd sem.), PT7070 (5th sem. For track A&C)

* Fall: PT5080 (2nd sem.), PT6080 (4th sem.), PT7090 (6th sem. For track A&C)

2) EMDiv - Selecting/Changing Tracks

- Before going on to the 3rd semester (E-track course starts from the 1st semester), during the course reg. period or course add/drop period

- At the New Online Service: [Records] > [Selecting Track] > Desired Track

** If you change your track after the 3rd semester you may delay your graduation.

More announcements for MDiv/MTS

- MDiv/MTS students may take other programs' (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) courses as electives except for some courses which are blocked.

- For 2015 Fall semester, English 2 or 3 credit modular elective course will not be offered for English MDiv/MTS students. Thus if a student needs to take an elective, please plan with this knowledge.

- EMDiv Track B (Intercultural Studies) 2nd year students:

MI 5420 Mission Practicum will also be available for EMDiv B track 3rd year students in 2016 Fall semester. In case the student does not have enough mission practicum hours, this course is actually suggested to be taken in the 3rd year. Thus if you have schedule conflict with PT6080-1 Personal Formation Internship, please take PT6080 first and take MI5420 next year.

* PT6080-3 Personal Formation Internship is also available on Sat. 1:10-3pm, biweekly, so in case a student who has enough mission practicum hours wants to take both classes, the student may take the Sat. section of PT6080 and also MI5420. If a student is planning to graduate on the 5th semester, please take both classes this fall.

- For EMDiv E-Track Students

-- ED6513 & ED6524 are required for obtaining the ACSI Teacher's certificate, but they are no longer EMDiv E-Track requirements. E-Track Students may graduate without ED6513 & ED6524 as long as they fulfill total 95 credits including other requirements. Students will be given opportunities to take ED6513 & ED6524 after graduation if they wish to pursue the ACSI Teacher's certificate.

-- ED6050-1 Curricula Foundations & Assessment (Tue 7:15-10pm) can be substituted by CE5472 Curriculum Development (Tue 1:30-4:20 pm).

* Important Note for ACSI Teacher's certificate Pursuing Students ACSI: MDiv E-Track, MA, ThM CE Students who are pursuing ACSI Teacher's certificate should take additional MEd courses according to the requirements.

- KMDiv Biweekly Classes

Biweekly classes usually start on the first week of semester. However, in case there are 2 courses held on the same day/time slot in turn, please make sure to check which class starts on which day on the course schedule.

2015 가을학기 수강정정 및 기타 안내

1. 수강정정기간: 8/18(화) 오전 10시 - 9/1(화)

** 수강정정기간 동안의 결석은 출석으로 인정되지 않습니다.

l 등록금 납부 이후에 온라인 수강정정이 가능합니다 (납부기한: 8/31)
* Expat 학생은 수강정정을 먼저 한 후, 9/7-11에 등록금을 납부합니다.

l 이미 시작된 2015 학년도 가을학기 모줄라 수업들은 수강정정이 불가합니다.

l 반드시 기간 내에 모든 수강정정을 마쳐야 합니다.

2. 폐강과목 확정 및 통지: 8/28(금) 오후 3시

최소수강인원 5명 (ThM수업 또는 PhD 강의실수업은 3명) 미만의 과목들은 폐강될 예정입니다. 예상 폐강가능과목: Expat MDiv 저녁/토요일 수업, ThM/MDiv 선택과목 등 * 필수과목은 예외가 있을 수 있습니다.

- 수강신청현황을 토대로 폐강과목이 결정될 예정입니다. 폐강이 되거나, 결정이 유보되는 경우, 해당과목의 수강신청자들에게 개별 통지될 예정입니다.

3. 대체과목 신청기간 및 박사과정 Individual Guided Research (GR) 신청기간: 8/18(화) - 8/28(금)

커리큘럼 변경 등의 이유로 대체과목을 신청해야 하는 경우 및 박사과정 Individual Guided Research 신청을 해야 하는 경우, 교학처 비치된 신청서를 작성하여 학과장/프로그램 디렉터, 담당교수 등의 승인을 받은 후 위 기간 내에 제출해주십시오.

4. 기타 중요 정보

l MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM 과정의 현장실습
MA/MTS/MEd/ThM 과정의 학생들은 재학기간 중에 특정 횟수의 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다.

현장실습을 이번 학기에 이수하려는 경우 수강정정기간에 반드시 현장실습 I-III (GI1010-1030)을 수강신청하여 주십시오. 학기 말에 현장실습보고서 제출 시 성적을 받으실 수 있습니다.

* EXPAT 학생들도 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다.

l MA 기독교상담학과 상담실습/수퍼비전 수업

상담실습과 수퍼비전 수업은 동시 수강해야 합니다. 두 과목 중 한 과목만 수강신청하는 것은 재수강을 하는 경우에 한하여 허용됩니다.

l MDiv 과정

1) 영성형성 수업

영성형성 수업들은 재학기간 중에 그 순서를 따라 필수로 이수해야 합니다. 매학기 이수해야 할 영성형성 수업을 놓치지 않도록 주의하여주시기 바랍니다. (단, 영어과정의 트랙 B와 E는 1학기~4학기, 총 4회 수강)

* 봄학기: PT5070 (1학기), PT6070 (3학기), PT7070 (5학기 - 영어과정의 트랙 A와 C)

* 가을학기: PT5080 (2학기), PT6080 (4학기), PT7090 (6학기 - 영어과정의 트랙 A와 C)

2) MDiv영어과정 - 트랙 선택 및 변경

3학기 진입 시까지 선택하여주십시오. (E 트랙 수업은 1학기부터 시작됨)

- 선택 기간 및 방법: 사전수강신청기간 또는 수강정정기간 내에,

New Online Service > [학적업무] > [트랙선택] > 희망트랙 선택

* 3학기 이후에 트랙을 변경할 경우, 졸업이 연기될 수 있음

기타 MDiv/MTS 공지사항

- MDiv/MTS 학생들은 다른 과정 (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) 개설 수업들을 선택과목으로 수강할 수 있습니다. 단, 일부 타과정수강불가 과목은 제외됨.

- KMDiv 격주 수업

격주로 진행되는 수업은 보통 개강 첫주에 시작됩니다. 단, 같은 요일/시간대에 2개의 수업이 번걸아가면서 진행되는 경우, 수업시간표 상에 각 수업별 첫 날을 필히 확인하여주시기 바랍니다.

- 2015학년도 가을학기에는 영어 MDiv/MTS 과정 학생들을 위한 2 또는 3학점 영어 모줄라과목이 개설되지 않을 예정이니, 선택과목을 수강해야 하는 경우 이 점을 유의하여 계획하여주시기 바랍니다.

- 영어 MDiv B-Track (Intercultural Studies) 2학년 유의사항:
