Fall 2016 Course Add/Drop & More Guidelines

1. Course Add/Drop Period: Tue. Aug. 16, 9:30am - Wed. Aug. 31, 5:30pm

All students must finish course add/drop within the given period.

● Online course add/drop will be available from 3 hours (at most) after you have paid the tuition. For payments made after 5pm, add/drop will be available from following day (except holidays) from 8:30am (Tuition Payment until Aug. 30(T)).

* Expat students and students who are on per-credit payment plan (who exceeded the duration of program) should finish course add/drop first and pay during Sep. 6(T)-Sep.9(F).

* If a student wants to take credit hours over the credit maximum, the student must submit a Course Add/Drop Request form to the Academic Office within the Course Add/Drop period (Tuition for the extra credit should be paid afterwards during a set period, details for max. credits for each program are available at TTGU website > Academics > Academic Policy > Course Registration).

Class absences during the add/drop period are NOT excused.

● Updates may be made during the course add/drop period, and classroom changes may be made even after the add/drop period.

Modular courses: Students may register for modular courses which are listed on the course registration page of the New Online Service, but add/drop for Fall 2016 modular courses which have already started/finished are not available. Add/drop period for winter vacation modular courses will be given once again before class starts (TBA).

PhD Individual Guided Research: PhD participants who wish to apply for individual Guided Researches for courses which are not offered in Fall 2016, should fill out the application form and get the approval from the professor and submit to the Academic/Admissions Office.

2. Confirmation & Notification of Closing Classes: Fri. Aug. 26

Classes with less than 5 students (3 for ThM and PhD classroom setting classes) will be closed. There may be exceptions for required courses.

Potentially closing courses may especially be: English MDiv Tue/Thurs evening & Sat classes (except E-Track CE Classes), ThM/MDiv electives

Closing classes will be decided based on the number of registered students. If your wish course is among the ‘Potentially closing courses’, please register by Aug. 25(Thurs).

● In case a class is closed or in case further time is needed for decision, registered students will be notified individually (email or SMS) by Aug. 26(Fri) evening.

3. Class Substitution Application

Application Period: Aug. 16 (Tue) - Aug. 26 (Fri)

To apply for class substitution due to curriculum change or other reasons,

1) Fill out the application form (available at the Academic/Admissions Office & also at the school website’s Quick Menu > Download > Course),
2) Get the approval from the Program Director (For MA, MEd, MWCM: Dept. Chair’s approval)
3) Get the approval of the Dean of Academic Programs and submit to the Academic/Admissions Office.

4. Other Notes for Course Registration

- English-program students may take up to 3 credits (up to 5 credits for EMDiv, changed from Fall 2016) of Korean-program electives throughout their studies.

- Korean-program students can take English-program courses without any limitation of credits.

By Programs

- MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM Students (including Expat program students) are required to fulfill total 3 semesters (2 semesters for MEd) of field education experiences during their studies. Register for the Field Education I, II, III (GI1010, GI1020, GI1030) during the course add/drop period, do field education during the semester, and submit the Field Education Report to the Academic/Admissions Office by the Friday of the week before the end of the semester: Dec. 2 (Fri).


- MA Christian Counseling Concentration’s Practicum and Supervision classes are to be registered together. Registering for only one of the two will be permitted only in retaking cases.

- MDiv Students
1)
Should follow the suggested schedule on the Guide to ‘Degree Programs and Curricula’ 'booklet, according to the year/semester. Course schedules may conflict with other required courses in case a student delays taking a required course and this may delay graduation.

*For EMDiv, some courses are additionally offered for Expat program students during Tue/Thurs evening and Sat, but most of these courses are not offered yearly, and they may get cancelled with less enrollment. Thus, full-time students should not depend on these courses as they plan their studies (E-track required education courses are exceptions).


2) Are to take Spiritual Formation classes in sequence for total 6 semesters, every semester. Please be careful not to miss any of these 1 or 0 credit courses during the course registration & add/drop period. *For track B & E, required only up to the 4th semester

3) EMDiv students should select tracks before going on to the 3rd semester (Note: E-track course starts from the 1st semester). Select your track during the course registration period or the course add/drop period, at the New Online Service [Records]> [Selecting Track] > Desired Track. ** Changing tracks after the 3rd semester may delay graduation.

- MDiv/MTS students may take other programs' (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) courses as electives if they are searched at the course registration page of the New Online Service.

- ACSI Teacher's certificate Pursuing Students in the MDiv, MA(CE), ThM(CE) program should find out and take the required courses for earning the certificate (other than the graduation requirement).

2016학년도 가을학기 수강정정 및 기타 안내

1. 수강정정기간: 8/16() 9:30am - 8/31() 5:30pm

반드시 위 기간 내에 모든 수강정정을 마쳐야 합니다.

등록금 납부 후 최대 3시간 이후부터 온라인 수강정정이 가능하며, 5pm 이후에 납부한 경우 익일 (공휴일 제외) 8:30am부터 수강정정이 가능합니다 (등록금 납부기한: 8/30(화)).

* , Expat 학생 및 수업연한이 지난 학점당 등록자가 수강신청학점을 변경하는 경우, 온라인 수강정정을 먼저 한 후, 9/6()-9/9()에 등록금을 납부합니다.

* 초과학점을 신청하고자 하는 경우에는, 수강정정기간 내에 수강정정신청서를 별도로 작성하여 교학처에 제출해야 합니다 (초과학점 등록금은 추후 정해진 기간 내 납부, 학기당 최대이수학점은 홈페이지 학사안내 > 학사정보 > 수강 메뉴 참고).

수강정정기간 동안의 결석은 출석으로 인정되지 않습니다.

2016학년도 가을학기 개설과목 및 시간표 확인:

수강정정기간 동안 업데이트가 이루어질 수 있으며, 강의실 변경은 정정기간 이후에도 이루어질 수 있습니다.

모줄라: New Online Service 의 수강신청화면 상에서 조회되는 모줄라 수업은 위 기간 내에 신청할 수 있으나, 이미 시작/종료된 2016 학년도 가을학기 모줄라 수업은 수강정정이 불가합니다. 겨울방학 모줄라 수업의 수강정정기간은 모줄라 개강 전에 한번 더 제공될 예정입니다(추후공지).

영어 철학박사과정 학생이 2016학년도 가을학기 개설과목 외의 Individual Guided Research 신청 희망 시에는 신청서를 작성하여 담당교수의 승인을 받은 후 위 기간 내에 제출해야 합니다.

2. 폐강과목 심의: 8/26()

최소수강인원 5 (ThM수업 또는 PhD 강의실수업은 3) 미만의 과목들은 폐강될 예정입니다. , 필수과목은 예외가 있을 수 있습니다.

예상 폐강가능과목
EMDiv
저녁/토요일 수업 (E-Track 교육학과 과목 제외), ThM/MDiv 선택과목 등

수강신청현황을 토대로 폐강과목이 결정될 예정이니, 수강희망과목이 예상 폐강가능과목 중에 있는 경우, 8/25()까지 필히 수강신청을 하여주시기 바랍니다.
폐강 또는 결정유보 시에는 해당과목의 수강신청자들에게 8/26() 저녁까지 개별 통지 (이메일 또는 SMS) 될 예정입니다.

3. 대체과목 신청

신청기간: 8/16() - 8/26()
커리큘럼 변경 등의 이유로 대체과목을 신청해야 하는 경우,
1)
대체과목신청서 작성 후 (교학처 비치 및 홈페이지 Quick Menu > 서식다운로드 > 수업)
2)
과정주임교수 (MA, MEd, MWCM과정은 학과장)의 승인을 받고,
3)
교학처장의 승인을 받은 후 교학처로 제출하여주십시오.

4. 기타 수강신청 주의사항

- 영어과정 학생은 전 재학기간 동안 한국어과정 과목에 대하여 선택과목 3학점까지 (EMDiv 5학점까지, 2016 가을학기부터 변경됨) 수강할 수 있습니다.

- 한국어과정 학생은 전 재학기간 동안 영어과정 과목을 필수과목/선택과목의 제한 없이 수강할 수 있습니다.

학위과정별


- MA/MTS/MEd/MWCM/ThM
과정의 학생들은 (EXPAT 포함) 재학기간 중에 총 3학기 (MEd 2학기)의 현장실습을 이수해야 합니다.
수강정정기간에 반드시 현장실습(GI1010, GI1020, GI1030)을 신청하고, 학기 중 현장실습을 한 후, 지도교수/사역기관의 확인을 받은 현장실습보고서를 종강 1주 전 금요일 [12/2()] 까지 교학처로 제출하여주시기 바랍니다.

- MA 기독교상담학과의 상담실습과 수퍼비전 수업은 동시에 수강해야 합니다. 두 과목 중 한 과목만 수강신청하는 것은 재수강을 하는 경우에 한하여 허용됩니다.

- MDiv 과정 학생들은
1)
‘학위과정 및 커리큘럼 안내’ 책자에 제시된 표준 스케줄의 학년/학기에 맞게 수업을 이수해야 합니다.
필수과목 이수를 연기할 경우, 향후 다른 필수과목과 수업시간표가 중복될 수 있으며, 졸업이 연기될 수 있습니다.

2) 6학기동안 순서를 따라 영성형성 수업들을 매학기 필수로 이수해야 합니다. 1학점 또는 0학점으로 개설되는 영성형성 수업들을 수강신청 시에 놓치지 않도록 주의하여주시기 바랍니다. , 영어과정의 트랙 B E 4학기까지만 이수함.

3) MDiv 영어과정 학생들은 3학기 진입 시까지 트랙을 선택하여야 합니다 (, E 트랙 수업은 1학기부터 시작됨). 사전수강신청기간 또는 수강정정기간 내에, New Online Service > [학적업무] > [트랙선택] > 희망트랙에서 트랙을 선택하여 주십시오.

* 3학기 이후에 트랙을 변경할 경우, 졸업이 연기될 수 있습니다.

- MDiv/MTS 과정의 학생들은 New Online Service의 수강신청화면 상에서 조회되는 타과정 (MA, MEd, ThM, MWCM) 개설 수업들을 선택과목으로 수강할 수 있습니다.

- ACSI 전문교사자격증 취득을 목표로 하는 MDiv, MA(CE), ThM(CE)과정 학생들은 졸업요건 외에도 자격증 취득에 필요한 필수과목들을 확인하여 이수하시기 바랍니다.
