SH.E.W(Shining Children’s English worship service) Assistant Pastor job Description

 

Purpose:

Teach kids about God’s redeeming plan for them and the world through Sunday experience and partner with the church.

 

Education and Experience:

- Under Bachelor of Theology Degree course minimum required

- Master of Theology/Master of Divinity Degree preferred

 

Roles&Responsibilities

(1) Teaching

- Develop and oversee age-appropriate curriculum

- Preach a sermon every Sunday

 

(2) Shepherding

- Pastoral care for children and teachers, to include meet-ups, check-ins, and discipleship

 

(3) Equipping

- Recruit and train teachers

- Equip and empower teachers to take the lead in discipleship of their students

 

(4) Other

- Oversee kid’s program for annual churchwide retreats

- Oversee Summer/Winter Vacation Bible School

- Attend Wednesday evening worship service&Saturday Early Morning Prayer Meeting

 

(5) Hours

- Required onsite hours :

Sunday 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

- Other hours are flexible

 

Job type: Part Time (approximately 27 hours 30 minutes per week)

Pay Range: Negotiable Based on experience, training, education
