English Children’s Ministry Conference

The Torch Trinity Center for Education and Ministry held the 2 nd annual nationwide “English Children's Ministry Conference” on May 8, 2010, at Sungeun Church in Dogok-dong, Seoul.

With “Passing on the Faith” as its theme, TTCEM invited main speakers, Drs. Peter Cha and Steve Kang. They joined ten presenters and panelists from Onnuri Church, Hallelujah Church, and Youngnak Church, all well known for their long history of conducting children's ministry in English in Korea.

Approximately 250 attendees came from 90 churches, and 38 regions from Seoul, Kyeonggi province, and from as far away as Daegu and Busan in Kyeongsan province. The conference was held in 3 sessions, with opening and closing worship. With the cooperative support of the LaBible and Duranno bookstores, TTCEM provided an opportunity for the exhibition of the books, CDs, DVDs, VBS materials and curriculum samples from David C . Cook, Group, Gospel Light, and also the music of Jana Alayra.

Torch Trinity students enrolled in the Children's Ministry class took part in the whole program, from preparation to the follow up debriefing. The conference was the result of a passion and heart for the children's ministry and the joint effort of professors, staff, students, alumni and volunteers. The work of the Holy Spirit empowered the conference in the fasting and prayer of the director, the students, staff, and presenters.
