TORCH TRINITY AMBASSADOR PROJECT

TORCH TRINITY AMBASSADOR PROJECT

The Ambassador Project is a program designed to partner Torch Trinity Graduate School of Theology with local churches, global churches, and para-church organizations and Christian businesses. We desire to use our school's resources in mutually beneficial aid for the respective missions of our organizations. The project offers educational and counseling resources and raises awareness and support for Torch Trinity's global mission. The program demonstrates the international outreach posture of Torch Trinity, bringing others face-to-face with faculty and international students in a resource-sharing ministry environment.

Our faculty is available to offer seminars or preach, while the Torch Trinity International Choir offers their musical performance, foreign indigenous reports, and testimonies upon request. Torch Trinity appreciates opportunities to introduce our school and encourages partnering in the Torch Trinity vision of evangelism, church development, and the expansion of Christian education in limited or global areas of difficult access.

In spring of 2009, Torch Trinity is visiting Hanul Church in Bundang and Pyungkang Church in Daerim Dong . There, we introduce our school through video presentations, and usually one of the international students shares his/her testimony. This semester John David Samuel (an ordained pastor for over 12 years in India ) shares about the road to ministry in India ; the difficulties, the need for education, and his call to ministry with the many HIV/AIDS infected people of India . Our Dean, Dr. Jung Sook Lee, presents the history and the vision of Torch Trinity, and Vice President Dr. John Song preaches inspiring messages from the Word of God.

One highlight of our presentations is the Torch Trinity International Choir. The TTGSTIC is likely the only choir in Korea representing more than 30 countries. The exotic global praise songs sung by international students in colorful ethnic traditional garb always fascinate the audience. Below are comments from some pastors who already contribute to the Torch Trinity global mission:

Rev. Koh Myung Jin, Suwon Central Baptist Church
“We did not know that so many international students are studying at Torch Trinity. As we saw them praising in colorful national costumes, we were reminded of the importance of ministry at Torch Trinity and we were also challenged to become more active participants in world missions.”

Rev. Dr. David Sang Bok Kim, Hallelujah Community Church
“The Visit of Torch Trinity members brought a fresh excitement to our Wednesday service. All the participants were greatly blessed by the dynamic presentation of the Torch Trinity team!”

At Torch Trinity we believe that our student body demographic is an image of God's plan for eternal worship and a step toward evangelizing the nations.

Revelation 7:9 ,10 . . . there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.”

The Ambassador Project will visit several more churches in the fall semester. They will be ambassadors of Torch Trinity to the Korean local churches, and at the same time the ambassadors of the Kingdom of the Lord of all nations!
